As the LIQUI MOLY Pro Watercross “Road to Havasu” tour moves toward Round 2, the stakes are getting higher—and the rewards are getting sweeter for the Sport Spec and Vintage 550 Open classes.
A huge thank you to Dales Jet Sports and Competitive Cranks for stepping up with winning contingencies that add serious fuel to the fire for these competitors. Here is how the leaderboard stands heading into the next stop:
Sport Spec: The Target is on Maulden
Joey Maulden (TX) has made a massive statement early in the season. After a dominating performance in Round 1, he currently leads the charge for the Competitive Cranks rebuild contingency.
- The Status: Maulden is officially the “man to beat.”
- The Challenge: With the field now having seen his pace, the question is whether anyone has found the extra speed needed to dethrone him in Round 2.
Vintage 550 Open: Grant’s Tuned Edge
In the Vintage 550 Open class, Ryan Grant has claimed the top spot on the leaderboard. His ski looked perfectly dialed in during the opening rounds, showing the kind of reliability and top-end speed required to lead a vintage field.
- The Status: Grant is the current pacesetter.
- The Challenge: The 550 Open class is notorious for mechanical wildcards; Grant will need to keep that machine screaming to stay ahead of a hungry pack of challengers.
The battle for the leaderboard continues to heat up. If you can’t make it to Sebring Fl in person, make sure you don’t miss a second of the 2026 season:
