Onsite entry fees will be an additional $25 per class.
What is the advantage to pre-registering? Cost to you as a competitor... for example, world championships amateur classes, pre-registration entry fee is $150 per class. On October 1, 2019, the entry fee goes up $25, making the registration entry fee $175. If you decide to register onsite, the entry fee goes up an additional $25, making the onsite entry fee $200 for amateur classes.
A Pro Watercross SUPXross Membership allows you to compete at any Pro Watercross sanctioned Hydroflight events or affiliate, provided you have the appropriate entry and waiver forms completed and submitted by the correct deadlines.
Pro Watercross Membership may be purchased at sanctioned event from one of Pro Watercross' event organizers or online at the Pro Watercross website.
Annual competition memberships are valid for one calendar year (January 1 - December 31).
SAFETY RULES & RACE DETAILS:
ALL race participants are REQUIRED to wear a USCG approved PFD.
Participants are ENCOURAGED to wear a leash and helmet, however not required.
Participants are REQUIRED to abide by age, gender & board-length specifications per registered division.
Participants are REQUIRED to race STANDING UP, yet in the event of a fall & remount, a participant is allowed a minimal amount of forward strokes while seated or kneeling before STANDING again ASAP.
The NOSE of the board must remain behind the start line at the beginning of the race and winners will be based on whose BOARD NOSE hits the finish line first. Please paddle through & clear the finish line! *For the sake of safety and validity, paddlers should finish standing and not kick the board out forward.
Drafting IS allowed, however abrupt contact to the back of another racers’ board is highly discouraged!
Making contact with another paddler or their board using your paddle or body is NOT ALLOWED, and in extreme cases could be grounds for disqualification, however contact between boards from the side rales may occur and is allowed. (As the saying goes...“Rubbing is RACING!”) *Please be RESPECTFUL*
Participants awaiting their race heat are allowed to be on the water while waiting, however are REQUIRED to remain at least 30 feet away from the RACE COURSE during heats. Any physical interference with a participant during their active race heat could disqualify you from your race!
